Blogger says my post published but it's not even in my published posts. It may show up tomorrow and I'll have to delete one!

Jane Eborall kindly sent me a sample of the Pink Cocoa in Lizbeth and it just happened to match some of my clothing perfectly so I tatted it up in my Beginner's Beaded Blossom Brooch. Do you know how hard it is to find brown beads? I ended up using a glass 11/0 in brown iris.

I bought a new container for a thread collection that has been growing over the years. Lately I've been using it for bobbin lace and embroidery. I've only used it as a blending thread with tatting in the past. It's so sleek and shiny!

  1. Oh, that's SO pretty with the beads on the core thread. I do like that method of adding beads rather than instead of a picot. Always pleased to help, by the way.

  4. Your brooch is lovely in this color of thread! I bought some of this thread to make a pin/brooch also. A friend made me a chrocheted hat in chocolate brown and I thought this was a perfect color to put on the hat.:)

  7. That's a lot of tatting and MANY beads on your brooch, which are in the perfect colors! I have yet to learn about bead sizes. I'm amazed how everyone seems to know all about their beads!

And the container folks are always pleased that we need more and more containers for all our 'collections'. Wonderful thread colors!

It also scares me to read that blog posts can be 'lost'!

  8. Hi Gina,
Yes, I do know how hard it is to find brown beads. I thought that it was just me having this trouble.
I would like to join the Tatting Goddess Group, but I get an error message when I try to send an email to you. Is there another way that I can join the group.

  9. As you know, dear friend, I don't tat, but I enjoy seeing your creativity. I'm always astonished at all of the resources you have and enjoy the close and warm community of tatters. A "vintage" craft become modern and even more fun!
