Oops! One of my half-moon rings turned back during blocking!

This is a pattern by Yarnplayer. I've been meaning to make it for some time. It reminds me of a butterfly shape and I've considered leaving off the top rings and stem next time. I'll also rewrite it so I won't have to keep shuffling between papers. That slowed me down considerably! I think she captured the gingko leaf shape superbly however! This was tatted in an unlabeled Lizbeth thread, size 20.

I've been doing more stitching than tatting but it's a good change of pace as long as I don't let myself get overwhelmed with it.

  2. Because you just posted this, and there are no comments yet, I'm jumping in to let you know that I am one of those who can't comment on most 'imbedded comment form' blogs unless I'm the first one in! And, after you receive more comments, I won't be able to view any of the comments, including mine (if it indeed gets through!)

When Blogger changed over to allowing individual 'replies' on the imbedded comment form (which is a cool idea in itself) back around Jan. 12, things got goofed up again re commenting. There are a lot of techie explanations floating around for this issue, but I don't understand any of them!!! They say they're 'working on it'.

Anyway, just wanted you to know you may not be receiving as many comments as you otherwise would! Thanks for the info about Camilia! I think I sent a comment about your fabulous finished pineapple doily, but I haven't been able to view the many comments you received. We just have to hope they work this all out! I laughed at the 'piggie' video!

  3. I changed the comment setting to full page so we'll see if that helps. I can go back to embedded once they sort out the glitches.

  4. Yippee! I can now see the comments (including my 'letter' LOL!)!!!

I sure appreciate your switching over to this comment form until they sort out the problem(s)! It was nice of you to do that!

Re your tatting of Yarnplayer's gingko leaf, I find the colors pretty here! I normally don't prefer white sections in varigated, but it really does depend on the pattern!

  6. When I saw Kathy's comment I immediately changed my settings, too.

Gina, you did a great job on the Ginkgo Leaf, I know it's a challenge! The colors look like they might be Carousel from Handy Hands, but I'm not sure.

  8. Väldigt fint det ser ut som en fjäril jag tycker att den skulle passa väll som örhänge!
