April Mystery Motifs

Well..it appears the April mystery motif has turned into an April Fool's after all. I just tried to tat it...WITH the photo...and it's not the same...something is left out and something is out of order, but the instructions are exactly as they are in the publication. It's too late tonight but I'll try to scan the photo tomorrow and post it...and I'll leave that as your challenge instead...to figure out what it's really supposed to be!

Decided to go ahead and post it because I won't have time tomorrow night!

  1. Ooh, this is very pretty! Is it a doily edging?

  2. That looks very beautiful. This is just the kind of tatting pattern that keeps me mesmerized. Is it an edging for a table topper or runner?

  3. This is actually both an insertion and edging on a runner. It just depends on how you combine the square and the round motif - you can make it a length for an insertion or what they called a "Van Dyke edging", because it is pointed. I'll post more about it later when I return from Hector but for now, this is it.
