I loved the Dagger Heart designed by Victats.

Only thing is, Valentine's Day is over and it's March now. I kind of lose my interest in hearts once February is done....but LOOK!

Turn it topsy-turvy and it becomes a Spring Flower! I love multi-tasking motifs!

And here are more blooms waiting for their leaves.

Playing can be so productive and fun! Reminds me of a piece of advice a professor gave- turn your work upside down every now and then- gives fresh perspective! Ellie

  5. Yours looks very whimsical...mine looks rather earthbound and overly rotund by comparison!

How have you got such a light effect while mine is so....lumpen?

  9. I've been wanting to tat that pattern myself- it's so pretty. And how clever of you to turn it upside down! Now it's doubly attractive.

    That's nifty, Gina!

Did you stumble upon that by accident, or was it thinking outside the box?

However it was, it was a nice multi-task

  11. I meant to include in the post that I think this is easy to tat but you do have to pay attention to the tension on the chains. I was watching tv at the same time and figured out it took me around a half hour for each one. On the very last one, I added a josephine knot on the very tip. I wish I could figure out a way to temporarily add the stem and leaves so that I could use the motif according to the season.

  12. Oh, and thanks Vicki! When you said "bleeding heart", I have to agree. My first thought was similar to a tulip but I think bleeding heart is more descriptive.
